Today was a gorgeous, sunny, and unseasonably warm December day. This morning I sat on my back porch with a glass of hot coffee and the newspaper and soaked it all in. With both my boys asleep, I could have squeezed in a few extra minutes of work. But I'm glad I didn't.
Ah, today is the end of a week-long project. I really loved recording a special moment from each of my days. I would say that each day had more than one "small act of random abundance," but my commitment to document a small act each day meant that I made a special effort to be sure that they happened. I wasn't willing to wait for a happy accident.
At the same time, I tried to be careful not to let the documentation spoil the moment. Instagramming throughout a small act of abundance can make that moment...a little less abundant. A tricky balance.
Do you ever feel that recording a moment interferes with you being present in that moment?
And, of course, what was your small act of random abundance today?
If you missed part of this week, you can see every small act of random abundance here.
xoxo Maeg
